China’s first cross-sea high-speed railway, the Fuzhou-Xiamen-Zhangzhou High-speed Railway in Fujian province, entered the phase of acceptance inspection last week.

The Fuzhou-Xiamen-Zhangzhou High-speed Railway project started construction in September, 2017, and the line extends for 277.42 kilometers along major port cities, such as Putian, Quanzhou, and Xiamen of southeast China's Fujian Province.

With a designed speed of 350 km/h, the high-speed railway is going to cut down the travel time from the province's capital Fuzhou to the tourist city Xiamen within one hour. Meanwhile, the travel time between Xiamen and Beijing will be cut from more than 11 hours now to around nine hours.

The joint testing will start by April and the railway will put into operation within this year.
