New direct flight to link Chengdu and Rome

On June 22, the launch of a brand new direct flight connecting Chengdu and Rome was announced by Sichuan Airlines.

 

Chengdu, being the capital of China’s southwest province Sichuan, has never have a regular direct air connection with Rome, the capital city of Italy. This new connection would create more opportunities and convenience of visiting Chengdu.

 

The flight will be operated by Airbus A330. The flight 3U607 will leave Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport at 02:00 Beijing time every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. It will arrive at Rome Fiumicino International Airport at 7:25 local time. The flight time will be 11 hours. The return flight 3U608 will depart from Rome at 13:25 local time. It will arrive in Chengdu at 05:50(next day) Beijing time.

 

Chengdu is the capital city of Sichuan province. As one of the top 10 ancient capitals in China, Chengdu has been a historical and cultural city to visit for a long time. The history here has been preserved perfectly, due to its unchanged location, name, and city center over years. Besides, it is also a city catching up with modern high-technology, and is recognized as National High-Tech Industrial Base by State Council. Chengdu is also considered as one of the most comfortable cities to live in China
