On August 4, Myanmar Airways International launched a new direct flight connecting Hefei, capital of Anhui Province in east China, and Mandalay, the second largest city in Myanmar.

This flight is operated by an Airbus A319 Aircraft. The flight 8M718 will leave Hefei Xinqiao International Airport at 23:05 Beijing time every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. It will arrive at Mandalay International Airport at 01:00 local time next day. The flight time is about 3.5 hours. The return flight 8M717 will depart from Mandalay at 17:25 local time, and arrive in Hefei at 22:05 Beijing time.

It is the first direct air route connecting Hefei and Mandalay, as well as Myanmar. By increasing the volume of tourism, the flight is expected to create more opportunities for people in both countries to learn about each other better.

Hefei is the political, economic, and cultural center of Anhui. It is the key tourist city of Anhui province and the best place to learn about the brilliant Anhui culture. With a history of over 2000 years, it has a great historical atmosphere. You can visit the home of many famous people such as Zhou Yu, Bao Zheng, and Li Hung-Chang.
