According to China Eastern Airlines, a new direct flight will be opened to link Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province and Taichung, a city locates in the west-central part of Taiwan Island. Since June 25th, this flight will be operated to fly on every Wednesday and Sunday.
The flight will be operated by Boeing 737 aircraft of China Eastern Airlines. The flight MU9759 will depart from Kunming Changshui International Airport at 08:30 Beijing time. It will arrive at Taichung Ching Chuang Kang Airport at 11:30 Beijing time. The flight time is 3 hours. The return flight MU9760 will depart from Taichung at 12:30, and it will arrive in Kunming at 15:50 Beijing time.
As the capital city of Yunnan Province, Kunming city has developed into the political, economic and cultural center, and also the transport and communication hub in Yunnan. With the normal temperature around the whole year, Kunming has blossoms opening all year round. Thus it enjoys the reputation of the 'Spring City'. With a history more than 2,400 years, Kunming is also the important gateway to the well-known South Silk Road that facilitated trade with Tibet, Sichuan, Myanmar and India.
