On June 28, Malaysia Airlines launched a new direct flight linking Yangzhou and Taizhou in China's Jiangsu Province with Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia.

Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport is an airport jointly built by the cities of Yangzhou and Taizhou. According to them, this new route would significantly boost cultural exchange between these two cities and Kuala Lumpur.

This flight will be operated by a Boeing 737 aircraft, and is scheduled to fly three times every two weeks—every Wednesday and Sunday on the first week and every Sunday on the second week. The flight will leave Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 17:20 local time, and arrive at Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport at 22:45 Beijing time. The flight time will be about 5.5 hours. The return flight will depart from Yangzhou at 23:45 Beijing time. It will arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 05:15(next day) local time.

Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport locates at Yangzhou, about 30 kilometers to downtown. It is in the same time zone with Kuala Lumpur, so you don’t have to worry much about jet lag. Yangzhou is a beautiful city located at central Jiangsu Province. As one of the state-list famous historical and culture cities, it attracts tourists by its fascinating scenery. Yangzhou has also held several international conferences, and is about to hold World Horticultural Exhibitions in 2021.
