According to, Yujoa'ao Town Government of Hunan Province’s Ningxiang City, on May 30, the first China Ningxiang Gardenia Cultural Tourism Festival opens in Yujia'ao Town. The festival will last for half a month.
The theme of this festival is "Love Gardenia, Romantic Yujia'ao", aiming to fully tapping the cultural values of gardenia flowers, which symbolize the purity and eternal love. It gives more Romantic elements, helps enhance the brand awareness and reputation of the Gardenia in Ningxiang, and promotes the development of agro-tourism industry. It will also help to make Ningxiang become the preferred destination for people all over the world.
During the festival, there are also some festivals holding there, including the Gardenia Industry Development Forum, the Huolong Lantern Exhibition, Humanistic History Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition, Gardenia Photography Competition, and Lobster Happy Festival. Gardenia belongs to Ningxiang’s traditional industry. It is used both for food and medicine, and at the same time is very ornamental.
